REEL GUARD ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Peel back 1/2 inch of the white wider protecve strip pinch between finger and thumb.

Place the adhesive strip side on the reel, half on the outer edge and half hanging over the inner edge not scking to the reel. Connue placing the adhesive strips around the outer edge perimeter. Keep each new strip within 1/2” of the last applied strip, unl it meets the starng point. Trim excess strip if needed. Use three pieces for small reels and four pieces for large reels

Fold the adhesive strips over the reel edge towards the center of the reel. Press on the brown protecve paper to secure the adhesive onto the inner edge of the reel. Remove the brown protecve paper from each of the segmented adhesive strips.

Start applying one end of the reel guard on the reel beginning at the middle of the reel mounng foot. Press the reel guard firmly around the edge of the reel unl the reel guard overlaps.

Place the reel guard on the outer edge of the reel. Make a mark on the guard leaving a small gap. Lift the guard far enough off the reel to cut to length. Cut and press guard firmly onto reel. Repeat this process for applying the reel guard onto the spool half opposite the handle

Peel off the protecve backing from the black tape, place tape over the reel guard seam. This prevents anything from catching in the seam.

Repeat process on the opposite reel edge. Finished Installaon.
